RFQ Engineering Services Aircraft Parking Apron Repair
The project will include all management, design, and construction activities and services, and provision of all material, equipment, tools and labor, necessary to repair, reconstruct, and provide a functional and operational aircraft parking apron to support the flight operations of Kansas State Polytechnic and its fleet of 31 aircraft. The current aircraft parking apron (600 18" thick slabs of concrete) is exhibiting numerous failure mechanism to include cracking such as longitudinal, transverse, diagonal, corner breaks, durability "D", and shattered slabs/intersecting. Disintegration to include Alkali-Silica Reactivity (ASR), blowups, popouts, and patching such as small, large, and utility cuts. Additionally, joint seal damage is prevalent throughout the entire apron.
