RFQ Engineering Design Services Elm Street Sidewalk

Baldwin City is requesting proposals for surveying and design services for a KDOT Transportation Alternatives sidewalk project on Elm Street beginning at Baker University (8th/Elm) and going west across the Midland Railroad to the USD 348 ballfield facilities. The work will include survey and design of sidewalk improvements, bulb-outs and enhanced high-visibility safety features at 8th/Elm crossing, decorative street and sidewalk lighting and photometric plans along the entire corridor, benches, softscape features including canopy trees, shrubs and grass, signing, pavement markings, evaluation and design of drainage facilities, grading and earthwork, intersection details, utility coordination, railroad coordination and design of an at-grade rail/pedestrian crossing, and agency permitting. The project must adhere to the KDOT Local Public Authority (LPA) Project Development Manual.
