RFQ Stratford Water Tower Replacement

The project address the replacement of the 1954 Stratford Elevated Storage Facility, located at 1225 Sunset Drive "Water Tower Park" as shown on the map. The existing Storage Facility stores 500,000 gallons and provides storage capacity for the West Hills Service area. As indicated in the 2014 Stratford Elevated Water Storage Tank Preliminary Alternatives Evaluation Report, the tank is exhibiting deterioration in the foundation, tanks and structural appurtenances and failing internal and external coating. The scope of the project includes services related to sitingk, design and construction of a new elevated water storage tank in the West Hills Pressure Zone. Preliminary sizing is a minimum capacity of 500,000 gallons. The current proposed scope would evaluate various new tank alternatives that may exist for the replacement of the existing steel tank, develop opinions of probable cost for potential alternatives, development of construction documents for the new elevatged storage tank, coordination and phasing of construction activities while maintaining distribution system operations.
