RFQ Bikeways Master Plan Update

The Metropolitan Topeka Planning Organization (MTPO) is seeking an update to the Topeka Bikeways Master Plan that: 1) Performs a Critical Assessment of the current state of biking/bikeways as a transportation mode within the MTPO urbanized area including goals, network/route design, facility types, utilization rates, demand, safety, stress level, support systems, etc. and recommend updates (Chapters 1-4, 6); 2) Modifies any route priorities and details to reflect actual implementation, new CIP projects, and preferred future “short-term” and “ultimate” design options that align with recommendations from Critical Assessment (Chapter 5); 3) Prioritizes routes and ranks Top 10 “ultimate design” segment improvements with cost estimates that should be implemented through 2030 to achieve the most low stress/high use network under anticipated funding scenarios (Chapter 5, Implementation).
