RFQ Design Services ATMS Master Plan

The City of Olathe, Kansas, Public Works Department is requesting qualified design firms to submit qualifications for the preparation of an Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) master plan. The goals of the study include, but are not limited to, the following: Prioritizing replacement of existing conduit and fiber optic cable using the City’s asset inventory data; Identifying key locations for providing redundant ATMS infrastructure; Updating the City’s Technical Specifications and Design Criteria related to ATMS infrastructure; Preparing opinions of probable cost for recommended improvements; Identifying alternate funding sources; Summarizing the findings in a final report. Design services shall include collecting of existing ATMS infrastructure data and providing recommended improvements. In addition to providing infrastructure improvement recommendations, the master plan will identify outside funding sources and provide revisions to the technical specifications and design criteria related to ATMS infrastructure. Design services are anticipated to include but are not limited to: preparation of conceptual improvements for review and discussion with City Staff, estimating the opinion of probable cost, updating the ATMS technical specifications and design criteria and preparation of a final report.
